PROJECT 01
Coffee
Coffee from our partner farmers of the Karen people in Thailand
Through coffee we provide career education and create jobs for children in Thailand, taking on the gap in the opportunities open to them.

For those who support our work
Saphan Coffee
Coffee born from our work with children in Thailand. The packaging features drawings by children at the migrant school, so every purchase supports the activities.

For those who love coffee
Saphan Coffee Roaster
Beans from Karen farms, roasted to bring out the character of their origin — for anyone who wants to enjoy the coffee itself.
ACTIVITIES
What we do through coffee
01
Fair trade

We trade directly with our partner farmers of the Karen people, a hill tribe in Thailand. The farm sits in Huay Sompoi village, a Karen village in Chiang Mai, home to around 100 smallholder households. Valuing quality over quantity, we grow and harvest together with several of those farms to produce organic, high-grade beans.
02
Supplies for migrant schools

Thailand is home to many migrants from neighbouring countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Educational standards for migrant children are low, and the migrant schools they attend are not equipped to give them even a basic education. Step by step, starting with the schools we already work with, we want to build an environment where these children can receive that basic education.
03
Making the packaging

The children at the migrant schools each draw a picture, and together we turn them into our coffee packaging. They love to draw, and every picture has a story behind it. We believe a drawing is something wholly positive that crosses borders, circumstances, language and culture, and we hope these drawings bring the children a little closer to you.
04
Roasting workshops

For older children at the migrant schools who are interested in cafés, coffee or farming, our partner farmers run coffee courses centred on roasting. We believe what you experience as a child shapes the choices you make later, and we hope these experiences become a bridge to the children's futures.
