Children of immigrants go to Immigration school (MLC)

Tak province located in the border with Myanmar in Thailand, there are 10,000 children of immigrants from Myanmar.

Children go to immigrant schools from kindergarten (3 years of age) to high school (18 years) and receive education.

The educational curriculum of immigrant school is special, and it is operated in Myanmar’s educational curriculum, so the Thai language is less and the Thai language of the children is not fluent.

In addition, as the elementary school, junior high school, high school and grade, the number of children is reduced, and leaving from education.

Thus, there are two main causes of the continuation of education difficult.

The first is that when the household is severe, the parent will stop going to school and work for the family.

The second is that when moving to a distant place for the convenience of the parent’s work, the children will basically follow, but the transfer school between MLCs is not good, and the child wants to go to MLC where they go to everyday.

We are trying to create regular employment routes after graduating from immigrant schools for the first cause. Currently, it is possible to know that the unstable work is mainly the course after graduating from immigrant school, but by creating regular employment routes, it can be seen that there is a way to get stable income if children go to school until the end, we thought that the parents whose children stop schooling on the way to decrease.
